PokerStars launched on December 12, 2001. It did not take long for PokerStars to become a serious player in online poker. PokerStars helped fuel the poker boom. PokerStars VIP
While PokerStars does not give rakeback; they do offer one of the most lucrative VIP programs in online poker. Their VIP Program has 13 tiers. Players start at BronzeStar which allow players 15-17% rakeback. SilverStar will earn players between 19-21% rakeback. GoldStar rakeback returns will be between 24-26%. PlatinumStar players will receive between 28-31% rakeback. Once a player reaches Supernova there are 9 tiers. The lower Supernova tier offer 35-52% rakeback. Supernova Elite players will receive 68-74% rakeback. The rakeback percents are an estimation based on players converting their FPPs into either cash bonuses or tournament entries.
PokerStars Bonus
PokerStars also offers players a 100% up to $600 first deposit bonus. The bonus clears at a rate of 17 VPPs per $1 in bonus. VPPs are earned using the weighted contributed rake method. The bonus releases in $10 increments and any bonus not cleared expires after 180 days. Players can also obtain the bonus in EUR, GBP or CAD. EUR players will receive a 100% up to €465 deposit bonus that clears at a rate of 22 VPPs per EUR. GBP players can earn up to a £390 deposit bonus that clears at a rate of 26 VPPs per GBP. CAD players can receive a bonus of up to $625 that clears at a rate of 16 VPPs per CAD.

Graphics and Performance
